The Houston Business Journal's sixth annual 40 Under 40 honorees — the Class of 2014 — are revealed. The winners represent the best and brightest young professionals in Houston. Ariel Sztern, President of TISA Software was selected by a panel of judges, as one of the most talented professionals for this year's award.

This year HBJ received an astounding number of nominations — more than 700 — and more than 400 applications for the 40 Under 40 honorees.

The panel of judges for this year included Candace Beeke, HBJ's editor in chief; Scott Frankel, vice president of Frankel Building Group and a 40 Under 40 alum; John Allen, former senior vice president of law at Halliburton Co. (NYSE: HAL) and the former executive vice president and general counsel at Paradigm Ltd.; Emily Wilkinson, HBJ’s print editor; and Katy Stewart, HBJ’s social engagement manager.
